Spoiler for my next RWBY fanfic project:

(We all know it's going to be Jaune so don't ask who's it supposed to be.)

Sorry if it seems long because I have to do some little world building (I lied. I have to create RWBY from scratch because the lore are non-sensical & made no sense.) Because I want to provide my reader better quality story telling.

Some changes I made is as follows:

- Grimm are stronger now. The heroes will have to work harder to even beat a beowulf. With a few special one able to gain self awareness and have some "slight" reality altering power. Think the witches from Madoka magica franchise.

- Of course with the Grimm getting stronger. So does the Huntsman. With someone like Qrow or pretty much any Huntsman older than the main cast no longer be a pushover.

- Rank System for the Huntsman.

- More (named) students at Beacon.

- Huntsman are treated like a Rock stars.

- There will not just be four relics but hundreds of them. Each with varying degrees of power. And most are monopolized by the state.

- Don't know what to do with the maidens though. Any suggestions?

- Grimm no longer feed on negative human emotion. Biggest reason for the removal is that it contradict the Faunus Racism subplot. And I don't know about you but I think racism is one heck of a negative emotion. (They still want people dead though)

- Faunus Racism subplot will be handled much better.

- Salem still can't be killed but she can be sealed. With her needing to be sealed every few decades or so.

- Grimm will appear less frequently and only starts appearing more and more when the seal around Salem starts to weaken.

- There will be a cult dedicated to bring back Salem and serves as the primary antagonist.

- Of course everybody favorite part of prequel trilogy. Politics. But it mostly be in the background until it isn't & the heroes are then forced to make a choice.

- There are other group beside the Huntsman fighting Grimms and they hate their guts.

- The event of Ice Queendom is mostly canon and even part of the Grimm Eclipse. Because I needed something to pad out the world building.

& there's more but I would like to keep some a secret for now.

And yes many character's story will be expanded or in a few case rewritten. Adam especially will be rewritten to better reflect the freedom fighter he supposed to represent. He's angry at the world but not an a-hole.

And that's about it I'm already halfway in and I will post the 5k fanfic soon as a form of early preview.

Here's a crazy thought; Grimm Eclipse, Arrowfell, After the Fall, and Before the Dawn are in-universe products that exist on Remnant. But while the books are based on real events, the video games are entirely made up as propaganda so Oz and Ironwood could ride on Team RWBY's coattails.

so much of the hatred rwby gets seems to be rooted in people being offended that what started as an amateur production, started so amateur

like, there was a tiny budget, all the voice acting was done with people with little to no experience, the animation was jank, the episodes were short and the pacing was all over the place with some questionable writing decisions, and it was very clear they were having to learn while doing and improving as they went along

instead of meeting the crew where they were at and respecting the ambition, people got mad that it wasn't a highly polished professional production with 25 minute episodes and nitpicked every little thing about it for ten years

It could be a side-plot to RWBY, happening off-screen while the main story happens.

As for how it spreads, I think the original source (Grimm Eclipse) was Dr. Merlot just injecting or otherwise applying a mutagen to the Grimm.

OH, and apparently Grimm Eclipse is considered CANON?! What a surprise!

Just replayed Grimm Eclipse, again, and solo'd the hardest difficulty with Jaune, again.

If anything, it only reaffirms what I long suspected: the meta reason Jaune had to be the untrained noob wasn't just simply for exposition.... .....it was for the fact that his insane growth rate plus his, quite frankly, utterly bullshit Semblance would have completely derailed the story from the very beginning.

the movie was fun!!!!!!!! i was cheering and punching the air and gasping and leaning closer to the screen transfixed and everything! i like how it was written both for people new to RWBY and people who barely knew who the justice league characters were (like me lol). there was so much cool action !! and they mentioned just enough Current Goings-On for me to go OooooOoOo the current goingson....

to be more accurate, i started the movie, made it 20 seconds, and then had to pause and text my sibling that they were using that pop remix of that one classical piece because it caught me so incredibly off guard lol

it definitely has that DC charm! and it fits in perfectly with RWBY cannon again, so they don't even need to address it in volume 10 if they don't want! and what's wild is they even mentioned the villain from RWBY: Grimm Eclipse !?! did not see that one coming !!!! !! !! !

i hope it does really well! it's a nice movie but not a replacement for the show (as you would guess)! they didn't completely omit the Gays, gave weiss some fun angst moments, and mostly there was just a ton of kick-ass action! it was really fun seeing ruby teleport around!

but why is the Flash blond. hang on googling some things. well all that's coming up is the CW flash who is also blond. i am not a flash expert but based on the previous justice league animated shows i really expected him to be a redhead lol. i must be confusing him with wally

This may be my not very popular opinion but I hate most spin-off products that rwby makes Number 1: Ice Queendom and the crossovers with DC, Both crossovers were created to make money and nothing else and my hate comes from the simple facts and that they want to make these crossovers canon or semi-canon, But make this spin-off fuck the issue of timeline and development of rwby, A good example is weiss from ice queendom being racist towards faunus to have a dream for her to no longer be racist and then she continues to be so.

Spin-Offs are kinda hit or miss for me.

I LOVED Ice Queendom. RWBY was really good in the anime style, though the plot did get a little eh for me.

DC is something I am VERY not okay with. I haven't seen the RWBY/Justice League specials yet, but just from what I read from the RWBY comics, it feels... off. Like, they make Ruby way too edgy with her "baby bird" speech. They just... don't feel like RWBY.

I never played Grimm Eclipse, though I've watched playthroughs now and then (but only for like two characters because the dialogue is all pretty much the same). I played and LOVED Amity Arena, and I am very upset that they didn't continue for some reason. I want to play RWBY Arrowfell, but I can't because it was only for a limited time from a specific website and I was too late to get a physical copy (PHYSICAL MEDIA IS FOREVER, BUY LASERDISK!).

I've heard about the Grimm Campaign, but I haven't seen anything actually physical that can be bought, not even a freaking guidebook. I have Combat Ready! ...but no friends to play it with.

World of Remant was... a thing. I will say that. Which leaves...

The best thing Rooster Teeth has ever made. I remember a video that criticized RWBY Chibi as "a series that uses the main series characters better in every way". Seriously, Rooster Teeth, THIS IS HOW YOU SAVE RWBY! JUST MAKE MORE CHIBI! WHY IS THIS SO HARD FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND?!

I'm fully aware of people not liking the switch from Beacon to an open world in RWBY, personally I remember being really excited back in season 3 when the finale hit and we found out we'd be traveling because I legitimately wanted to explore remnant. Them having the group travel to also make Salem's threat feel more "end of days" level was a good idea. However I think the issue was that the set up wasn't great.

Part of the issue with early rwby (and honestly it never really got fixed) is that it doesn't build its world. We know of Beacon and Vale since that's where we are for Volumes 1 and 2, but outside of that we get no real mention of other areas until the episodes where we need them to exist. I think part of this has to do with them not fully deciding what visuals to go with and the limitations of their budget, but I don't really like when that defense is used because we still could've had in universe character conversations.

Ex: Have Weiss be disinterested in reaching out to her family but still checking up on Atlas news regularly to simply see how things are going. Pyrrha phoning home often and her parents giving her updates on the city of Argus. Jaune being from a small town potientially and his parents cluing us into a rise of Grimm attacks which would be abnormal in the area they live in.

I've said it before but the show really would've benefited from one more season before we get people arriving for Vytal. A season to build up beacon and better set the in universe rules.

We don't need a major budget to build the world, but it being prevalent and foreboding with this constant reminder that our group will one day face it would work really well towards bridging their eventual departure from Beacon.

It would make the shift less jarring for people who didn't expect it and add more content for the people who wanted to bulk up the story itself.
